DeutschTrip : Food (1)

Dear Readers,

I have so many thing to write about during my one week stay in Freiburg, but I think I need more research on some issues, so to keep my blog update I will share unique foods I have tried here 🙂

Brezel 

Brezel  is type of baked  food made from dough in soft and hard varieties and savory or sweet flavors in a unique knot-like shape. It used to drink with beer, but since I don’t drink alchohol so I use water in return. It cost around 1 Euro each and I saw many german people eat it as daily snack. It is crispy outside but soft inside. The one in picture was a little bit salty.

Mineralwasser

This is one example of mineral water in Deutschland. It cost me around 1-2 Euro. Not like regular mineral water in Indonesia, in German people put soda in their mineral water. Some friend say because German people like something sparkling taste in their water. However, if I want to drink the regular water I just need to refill this bottle with tap water! 😀 easy to find everywhere even in the toilette, it was a little bit ackward for me  in the beginning though, but it is ok here the water is very safe and clean. Now I am a tap water drinker! 😀

Seafood and Salad

It is my mistake for not remembering the name of this meals. It was typed in Deutsch and very long, but basically we can call it seafood and salad 😛  It was one of the most delicious food I ever ate so far, because it is cost me for free! 😀 normally this is around 7-8 Euro. The bread was similar with zuppa soup taste with Shrimp and Tuna inside. They put a lots of vegetable and slice of mango.

Vegan Food

It was a dinner when I accompanied Tia, one of the student who came with me and research about Vegan (People who choose to eat no protein at all). We got an info that every wednesday night in two weeks, there will be a massive dinner done by the Vegan community in Vauban area. This community will cook for everyone who wish to eat Vegan food and those who eat pay the food as much as they can. The people who cooks the food here works for free. When I got there the menu was fettucini with cucumber. Nice experience! 😉

Ice Cream !!

Yup! this is one of my self-healing food, yay! 😉 I am lucky to be here at summer time, where every German people love to eat ice-cream, young, old, children, man, woman. There are so many varieties of nice ice cream I can find here, the one in the picture is ice cream with cone cost only 80 cents per scoop. There are numbers of flavor worth to try, vanilla, chocolate, chocho-chip, strawberry and many moores!! Believe me, here I almost eat ice cream everyday! haha 😀

Yup,I think that’s all I have to say about food right now, will update another food I have tried again 🙂

ps: what about my diet? hahaha 😀
